Training Choir
Beginner Singers
The Training Choir is an excellent starting point for young boys and girls to learn essential vocal techniques in a supportive environment. Participants develop confidence while building a foundation in music reading and performance. This program nurtures a love for singing that lasts a lifetime.
Focus: Vocal development, unison singing, and basic choral techniques.
Rehearsal Times: Saturdays, 9am-10am
Concert Choir
Advanced Boy Singers
The Concert Choir has a rich history of performances across the U.S. and beyond, including media features and high-profile concerts. Members have the opportunity to perform in prestigious events, developing their talents through challenging and rewarding experiences. This group performs at least two major concerts a year.
Focus: Advanced choral music, challenging repertoire, performances, tours, and other featured engagements.
Rehearsal Times: Tuesdays, 7pm-8:30pm & Saturdays 10:30am-12pm
Prima Choir
Advanced Girl Singers
Prima (meaning “first”) is an advanced ensemble and the principal performing group, acting as the flagship ensemble within the North Carolina Girls Choir. With a focus on artistic excellence, Prima singers perform in prestigious venues, collaborate with other choirs, and take part in regional and national tours.
Focus: Advanced choral music, challenging repertoire, performances, tours, and other featured engagements.
Rehearsal Times: Tuesdays, 6pm-7:30pm & Saturdays, 9:30am-11am
Chamber Choir
Teenage Boys and Adult Men
The Chamber Choir brings together advanced singers from the community, including alumni and current Concert Choir members. This ensemble focuses on rich, complex harmonies and offers opportunities to participate in high-caliber performances and collaborations.
Focus: Tenor and bass ensemble, advanced choral music.
Rehearsal Times: Tuesdays, 8-9pm

At the North Carolina Boys Choir and Girls Choir, we believe that every child should have the chance to sing, regardless of financial circumstances.
